I am is a dedicated and passionate trainee sound engineer with a growing reputation for his work supporting live bands at grassroots gigs, rehearsal sessions, and small festivals. Based in the UK, Roger is currently honing his craft by assisting with live sound setups, mixing, and troubleshooting under the guidance of experienced engineers in the live music scene and offers practical advice and tailored technical solutions to many types of bands hired for live events.
With a keen interest in the energy and unpredictability of live performance, Roger thrives in fast-paced environments where every show is different. He’s been actively involved in setting up PA systems, running soundchecks, and helping with front-of-house and monitor mixes for rock, indie, and acoustic acts across local venues. Roger has hands-on (YES!) experience with industry-standard equipment including analogue and digital mixing desks, DI boxes, dynamic and condenser mics, and live recording rigs. His technical ability is matched by a strong work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude that makes him a reliable part of any crew.Roger’s goal is to build a long-term career as a live sound engineer, touring with bands and helping them deliver the best possible sound in every venue – from small pubs to large stages. He’s eager to take on more opportunities, learn from seasoned professionals, and continue developing his skills in live audio, stagecraft, and band support. With a deep respect for musicians and a love of live music, Roger brings enthusiasm and professionalism to every event he works on.Roger has a growing knowledge of mixing desks, microphone techniques, audio editing software (including Logic Pro and Pro Tools), and stage setup procedures. Known for his calm approach under pressure and keen ear for audio balance, he’s been praised for his willingness to learn and his collaborative attitude on set. He's particularly interested in working on live events, where his adaptability and quick thinking are proving invaluable.With aspirations to eventually specialise in live touring sound or theatrical production, Roger is keen to connect with professionals across the industry, take on new projects, and gain as much real-world experience as possible.
