Genai Walker Macklin is an Arkansas native. She graduated from the University of Central Arkansas with a BS degree of Mathematics and Sociology with honors, cum laude and Associates in Spanish. After college, Genai was recruited by Coates Sports Management to play basketball professionally. She played in numerous countries such as Spain, Portugal, England, Ecuador, Uruguay, and Switzerland, as well as Spanish Islands Mallorca, Ibiza, and Tenerife for 8 years. After retiring from the sport, she and her husband Demetrius moved to Texas to focus on their careers and family. She currently serves as a Financial Advisor with Morgan Stanley where she provides financial planning for affluent individuals and their families.
