My name is Rob McDougal and I'm a London based Director of Photography working in Short form Narrative and commercial content. The majority of my professional experience has been through shooting video over the last ten years of my career. This has given me a solid understanding of timings and how to efficiently approach a shoot day alongside allowing me to develop my cinematic skills.

I have been a Gaffer in multiple BFI and independently funded projects since 2017, and recently shot a short for Sky Arts , due to be aired early 2023. I'm always looking to develop my network and collaborate with new people.

I'm ADHD neurodivergent which I see as being more positive than a negative. Yes it has slowed down my career progress slightly, but it allows me to see the world form a different perspective such as developing creative solutions and remaining absolutely focused on the job when things get tough.
