About
Hello, I'm Hannah! I'm an illustrator and graphic designer, and I recently graduated from the University of Brighton with a First Class Honours degree in Illustration. My other previous training includes the BFI VFX residential course, where I worked on a collaborative short film, and Annie Atkins' 'Design for Film and TV' course, where I travelled to Dublin to learn the art of creating graphic props.
Alongside my love for design, I have a strong passion for all things history and ephemera. My favourite TV shows and films tend to be those that breathe life into historical stories (even better if comedy is sprinkled in). The attention to detail in recreating these bygone eras not only appeals to my nerdy side, but also fuels my aspiration to be a part of the team that brings it all to life on the screen.
Currently, I'm seeking my first role in film and TV as an art department trainee. I'm particularly interested in how graphic design is created for the screen, but I'm keen to explore any and all areas within the art department to see where my strengths and long-term goals best align.

Course: Graphic Design For Film and TV
On this course, I travelled to Dublin to learn how graphic props are made for film and TV. From this, I learned the foundations from which to create my own graphic prop projects, and got a good overall understanding of the art and graphics department. This included script analysis, legal considerations, and how different roles in the department collaborate.

Course: Animation and VFX
On this week-long residential course, I collaborated with a team to create a short film where I played a key role in design and project management. During the course, I also attended and contributed to idea pitch sessions, developed my animation skills and received guidance on how to work as a freelancer. This experience has overall helped me improve my collaboration, communication, research, and analytical skills.
