Understanding and managing stress with Lucy Adams

This session is part of the ‘Your Life at Work’ strand which offers training aimed at addressing workplace best practice as well as how to stay healthy, happy and productive at work.

With the past year being challenging for most, the importance of both recognising and managing stress has become increasingly critical.

This session will give participants a greater understanding of stress, the importance of being able to recognise it early and knowledge of how to implement healthy coping strategies.

What it covers

  • What is stress – causes and impact
  • Recognising signs and symptoms
  • Exploration of stress responses
  • Self-care and developing healthy coping strategies
  • Practical introduction to mindfulness

With over fifteen years’ experience of working in TV production and five years working for Mind, the leading mental health charity, Lucy Adams is a qualified Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) instructor.
