Storyboarding: a professional toolkit with Benedict Tomczyk-Bowen
This one week course will start off by deconstructing story and the differences between boards for different media. We’ll then build up production-ready knowledge so a student will understand the array of responsibilities a storyboard artist can face and the tools we use. We’ll also look at making a concise storyboard to understand the process and inform students about the wider responsibilities in creating a complete, workable storyboard.
Students will also be taking a look at the primary software the industry uses; Toon Boom Storyboard Pro. By the end of the course you should come out with a better knowledge of how to deconstruct scripts and be able to create a board that’ll put a smile on any director, or more importantly, any animator’s face!
- A deep dive into the art and working practice of storyboarding for production.
- Master the process, getting to grips with Toon Boom Storyboard Pro.
-Work and learn in an established production studio setting.
