What does it take to be a good edit producer? 

In this session  we will hear from Colette Hooper who has more than a decade of experience in the cutting room as an edit producer on  popular factual series for all the major UK terrestrial broadcasters. Colette will talk through what the job involves, look at how to be a good digital producer and share tips around how to get your foot in the door. 

So you want to be... is a strand of online sessions which focuses on specific roles within TV. You will get the chance to go behind a job title and get the inside track, as told by the people who know these jobs inside out.

Time will be allowed for Q & A, so bring your questions for Colette!

Colette Hooper has over a decade’s experience in the cutting room, edit producing popular factual series for all the major UK terrestrial broadcasters. Colette has credits across specialist factual, formats and ob-doc, and has worked on hit series including Your Home Made Perfect (BBC TWO), Junior Doctors (BBC THREE), Great Railway Journeys (BBC TWO), Inside the Ambulance (W), Great Canal Journeys (Channel 4) and Great British Menu (BBC TWO).
