Resilience training with Justin McCarron
This session is part of the ‘Your Life at Work’ strand which offers training aimed at addressing workplace best practice as well as how to stay healthy, happy and productive at work.
This workshop will help you discover how best to manage yourself through the unpredictable times that we’re all currently living through. Now more than ever before, it is vital for us all to understand how to make the most of our natural strengths, to work together with colleagues in a positive and productive manner despite the many personal and collective challenges that we’re facing.
During the session we will explore the fundamental principles of Everyday Resilience, drawing from a wide range of sources. We’ll explore our innate ability to adapt; how our thinking shapes our experience; and how to take practical steps to ensure that we not only survive but also thrive in the face of adversity. The work environment we’ve been forced to adopt as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic offers us a unique opportunity to turn our focus on what really matters- our place and purpose in the world.
Justin’s session is about staying focused and in control. The entertainment industry has been hit particularly badly with stalled and cancelled projects. How do you remain positive and focused when challenged by external circumstances? How well will you be prepared when an opportunity arises?

Justin McCarron is a people skills expert, specialising in resilience. He works with clients in the creative sector, from independent artists (Cockpit Arts, SPACE Studios) to global media organisations (VICE, IMG, Endemol Shine Group). As well as being a coach and trainer, Justin is a regular contributor to Oh Magazine and is a co-host of the The Reset Show, a fortnightly podcast.
‘Everyday Resilience’ is a suite of practices he has developed from the wisdom of thinkers, philosophers and writers, combined with insights from the most recent research in the fields of psychology and neuroscience.
It’s an accessible, practical set of principles designed to help you better manage the daily challenges that you face in the modern work environment.
