Dates:

  • Tues 7 Sept 12:00 - 13:15

This session is part of ScreenSkills’ Resilience Month – join us in September to focus on your well-being and get support as we get ‘back-to-work’. These sessions are intended for those working in Unscripted Television.

This is a 2 day course. Please only apply if you can attend both sessions.

In a world where our networks have largely been reduced to disembodied faces on screens, Caroline explores how we can recapture the energy, affirmation and momentum of serendipitous networking and long-lost water cooler moments. Over the two days, Caroline facilitates discussion around your capacity to rebuild and extend your connections, within your working life and without. She also looks at the meaning and importance of allyship, and what you can do to benefit from it, and to offer benefit to others. Themes include:

  • Keeping connected & maintaining a support network during remote working
  • Networking – how to work your little black book
  • Sponsorship – enhancing executive presence and gaining traction within an organisation
  • Allies – how to identify & lean into them
  • Wellbeing, linked with human connection
  • Benefits of mentoring (for companies, mentees & mentors)
  • What makes a good mentor
  • Difference between mentoring and coaching

Who it's for

The workshop is recommended for anyone currently working in unscripted TV in the UK looking to improve their network and find allies. It is Caroline’s belief that commercial excellence comes from human connection and over the three days, she will help you explore ways in which you can maximise both. Each session is interactive, with opportunities to ask questions and be part of discussions, ensuring you get the answers you need and strategies you can take forward yourself. You will need a stable internet connection and we would encourage you to have your video on and be prepared to unmute yourselves in order to fully participate in the group.
