  • Fri 24 Sept 11am - 12pm

This session is part of ScreenSkills’ Resilience Month – join us in September to focus on your well-being and get support as we get ‘back-to-work’. These sessions are intended for those working in Unscripted Television.

This is a three day course, please only apply if you can attend all days.

It tends to be an expectation that once you take on a management role you are an expert on contract law and how to manage a team, which can be incredibly daunting if you’ve had no formal training.

This course will guide you through the process of recruiting a team, contract law and how to manage a team effectively throughout the production.  It will be broken down into easy to digest sections over 3 days and will include practical examples and discussions, as well as guidance and the chance to ask questions throughout.

Who it's for

This course is aimed at those who are involved in recruiting and managing teams. Whether you are in production, have your own production company or would like to brush up on your management skills.

By the end of the course you will learn how to recruit a team and effectively manage them to help your productions run smoothly and efficiently, as well as being aware of the legal obligations we have to our crew.   You will also learn practical tools & techniques to use with your teams and will be provided with a resource pack with further information and resources.

  • The interview process
