HETV and film: introduction to becoming a virtual production supervisor 2024 - 2025 is open for applications in January.

Learn from world-leading professionals in high-end TV and film about the core competencies required to step into a successful career as a virtual production supervisor.

The course will be a hybrid of online industry overview, insight and examples and a two day in-person practical immersion and project work in a fully equipped virtual production studio at our Production Park, Wakefield West Yorkshire base.

The industry training team at the Academy of Live Technology will leverage our network of contacts with VP supervisors across the HETV and film industries and in-house expertise of our virtual production studio and Masters Degree in Virtual Production (the first of its kind in the UK) to address and cover the specific training and skills development required to become a VP Supervisor.

This programme is supported by the ScreenSkills Film and High-end TV Skills Funds with contributions from UK film and high-end TV productions.

Who it's for

This programme is aimed a two distinct groups of HETV and film professionals:

2. Professionals with a background in VFX and post-production for HETV and film – with a desire to upskill and work in virtual production. You should have at least four years of experience working within VFX and post-production at all levels. There are 20x places.
