Apply for Part 2 here.

All television professionals must understand the best practice and important legislation governing working on set or in studio with under 18s.

And for anyone at a senior level in the business of making television, the potential risks for not having this knowledge are considerable.

Across two sessions in one day, Alison Cresswell and Grand Scheme Media present a walkthrough of the key information you need to be more confident in production. It will provide new information and also act as a refresher to ensure you are completely up to speed.

The course is delivered in two parts and includes information on regional differences in licensing, the benefits of working with chaperones, children's hours, policing crew behaviour, jigsaw identification, post care and managing the emotional needs of children.

The second session is delivered later the same day.

We also invite guest experts from the world of production to provide added insight to working with Under 18s.

We recommend you attend both parts of the course but applications are seperate for each part to allow flexibility if you cannot attend both on the same day.

Who it's for

This special edition of our long-running  course is aimed those working at production manager, producer, executive producer, head of production and managing director level in both scripted and unscripted.
