This advanced level Covid-19 production risk awareness course is designed to provide competency to senior production staff who will be performing the role of the Covid-19 supervisor or compliance officer on productions.

The one-day course will build on lessons from the last eight months and the intelligence gathered from industry since ScreenSkills introduced the free coronavirus basic awareness on production online training in June.

Who it's for

To attend this course, you must be a highly experienced location manager, 2nd AD, 1st AD, production manager or line producer. Completion of the coronavirus basic awareness on production online learning module is a prerequisite for this course.

HoDs or individual production staff who have been nominated by their HoD to assist in the delivery of Covid-19 health and safety arrangements on productions should apply for the intermediate level course.

What it covers

This one day remote learning session concludes with test and a post-course risk assessment assignment.

Topics covered on the training include the following:

  • The role requirements of a Covid-19 supervisor including, employer's obligations with respect to Covid-19
  • health and safety regulations -  general principles and legal basis
  • risk management techniques - methodology and implementation
  • risks resulting from Covid-19 and appropriate controls including: crewing, recces, locations, travel, communal spaces, hygiene procedures, use of PPE, emergency arrangements
  • risk assessment principles
