About
Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey in 1971, Avrumi Mashinsky presents a varied and dynamic artistic path. During his life Masinsky was influenced by various currents, creating a heterogeneous work. He has developed a post-impressionist technique.
Growing up and developing as an artist, Mashinsky undergoes the influence of Cubism. Soon he approaches futurism. In the 2000s, he joins an abstract art circle in New Jersey, thanks to whom he approaches abstract art.
Around 2005, Mashinsky crated artworks in which the breakdowns of color become the main element, independent of the objects represented. These artworks are classified as Orphic Cubism.
For a short period of time he has returned to figurative themes, but this period is not distinguished by particular elements of originality.
After a brief interval in which he approached realism and in which he painted a series of portraits, around 2010 Mashinsky returned to abstraction. Avrumi Mashinsky’s most famous series of paintings are Circles and Squares.
