About
Born and raised in Denver, Phillip Amos went on to work for survivors of intimate partner violence at a community non-profit. This experience led him to attend law school and then clerked for the Honorable William Robbins in Denver District Court.
In 2007, Phillip Amos Lawyer joined this office as a Deputy District Attorney and spent the ten years of his career focused on how we serve children in our community, whether they be survivors of violence or charged with offenses. He also led Colorado's Human Trafficking Unit and was appointed to Governor John Hickenlooper's Human Trafficking Council where he shaped policy for parents and family members who were involved in human trafficking.
After this, Phillip Amos Lawyer became a Magistrate Judge in Denver where he presided over alternative courts as well as the first effort to reduce incarceration of people struggling with addiction, mental health and poverty.
Phillip Amos a lawyer by day and artist in his spare time. He is an amateur painter who loves painting landscapes from Arizona to the Canadian Rockies. Phillip enjoys traditional landscape painting and appreciates places where humans have not affected the environment. He also likes working in areas that are remote, but close enough to travel for miles without seeing human activity or influence of man on nature's beauty.
