You approach a contributor and ask them to sign the release form that the production company has given you. The contributor has questions about some of the meaning of the release or, worse, they start crossing-out bits of the release before they will sign it. What do you do?

In this session Max Rumney will take you through the wording in basic contributor and location release forms so that you understand what they actually mean and are able to explain their terms to a lay person.

Max will also explain what release forms mean legally and illustrate issues that he’s come across in the past and how they were sorted out!

You will be encouraged to ask questions during the session!

Speaker

Max Rumney works for Pact in the Business Affairs team. He has been a production lawyer for 25 years. He has heard and seen it all!
