As part of the Young Animator of the Year, 3Dami is recruiting students to create every part of a 3D film in just 10 days. 3Dami works with industry mentors to give students all the help and support they need to learn about 3D-asset creation and animation.

The free residential camp will run across 10 days from 25 July to 3 August 2023 at the University of Bath for up to 27 students. Attendees are encouraged to arrive the night before the event starts.

The camp is supported by the ScreenSkills Animation Skills Fund with contributions from UK animation productions. ScreenSkills is the industry-led skills body for the UK’s screen industries.

The first round of applications close on Sunday 2 July, with a final deadline closing date of Sunday 16 July 2023.

Who it's for

This camp is open to teenage animators, between the ages of 13-18, with up to 27 places available.

We offer inclusive training. If you have any needs which we can accommodate during the recruitment process and beyond, please let us know and we will be happy to work with you to meet them. Contact us at apply@3dami.org

What it covers

Over 10 days, Camp participants will meet experts in 3D animated films to help them create their very own 'Pixar-style' film. 3Dami works with industry mentors to give all the help that will be needed. Our experts are looking for students that demonstrate enthusiasm and independent working.

Students are asked to arrive on 24 July in order to be ready to start Camp bright and early on 25 July. Accommodation and food will be fully funded with bursaries available to cover travel.

How to apply

Click 'apply now' to submit your application via the Young Animator of the Year website. Under 18s will require parent's permission to apply.

Full information on the accommodation and programme will be provided to successful campers and their parents in advance of the event.
