ScreenSkills has announced the appointment of Hannah Green as Head of the High-end TV (HETV) Skills Fund, alongside Alison Loose, who joins the HETV Skills Fund Council. Together, they bring extensive industry experience and a shared commitment to ensuring the UK’s enviable high-end television sector is powered by the right people with the right skills.
In her new role, Hannah will lead the strategic direction of the HETV Skills Fund, overseeing investment and training initiatives that equip freelancers and productions across the UK with the expertise needed to deliver world-class content. Working closely with broadcasters, streamers and production partners, she will focus on addressing skills gaps, driving inclusive workforce development and ensuring the UK continues to set the global standard for creative excellence.
Hannah steps into her new role after five years of working in the High-End TV Skills Fund, where she oversaw a range of key initiatives, and designed and implemented ScreenSkills flagship programme, Leaders of Tomorrow. With more than two decades of experience across factual, animation and VFX, Hannah brings deep insight into the evolving needs of the production workforce.

Joining Hannah on the HETV Skills Fund Council Alison Loose brings a wealth of experience from her current role as Head of Production, Scripted Labels at BBC Studios, where she provides senior strategic oversight across production. With more than 20 years in high-end TV production—spanning leadership roles at ITV Studios, Lime Pictures and CBBC—Alison has been a long-standing champion of workforce development, inclusive production practices and the career progression of production talent.

The High-end TV Skills Council is also pleased to confirm that Barry Ryan, experienced Head of Production will continue in his role as Chair, extending his tenure at a pivotal moment for the screen industries.
