Develop your freelance career in the coronavirus crisis

Alison Grade, author of The Freelance Bible, offers guidance to film and TV freelancers on developing "brand me".

With the film and TV sector in hibernation during the coronavirus crisis, many freelancers are unsure what other work they could do, and how they are going to make ends meet. In this video, Alison urges freelancers to ask: "What career do I want?"

She says this is the ideal time to focus on creating a marketing plan for your personal brand. Alison asks what happens when you remove the film and TV mask from your career history. What skills do you have left when you put down the camera? How can you transfer them?

This session was part of a live remote event recorded on 2 June 2020 during the coronavirus lockdown.
