About
After completing a three-year degree studying Film and Television at the University of East Anglia, I graduated with a 2:1 and have continued to pursue my passion for the industry through a range of roles and relevant work experiences. I have worked as a Studio Runner on Series 33 of The Graham Norton Show and have participated in work experience programmes with Channel 4, ITV, and several leading production companies, including Love Productions, Hat Trick Productions, Drummer Television, Beagle Media and Curve Media.
These opportunities have provided me with not only a valuable, practical and first hand experience, but also an opportunity to further develop my skillset and knowledge of the industry as a whole. In addition, I have worked as a Runner on Al Jazeera’s award-winning environmental series Earthrise and served as an intern Script Supervisor on a film produced by Archy Rival UK Limited.
Alongside my studies, I have also worked as Customer Service Assistant for South Norfolk Council, contributing to the planning and delivery of various recreational activities and community events, such as sports and leisure programs.

Partaking in Love Productions one-week placement allowed me to further refine and develop my production office skills, insight and experience as I shadowed and completed a variety of tasks across the runner and development team departments respectively. Throughout the week, I participated and completed a variety of tasks within the runner department including researching and compiling press cuttings for one of Love's recent programmes The Piano as well as developing potential product briefs for a new entertainment/designing show currently in development. I spent time correlating and transcribing voiceover time codes for The Great British Sewing Bee and had the opportunity to also research and source music for editors working on The Great British Sewing Bee, including cross-referencing potential tracks against the PPL database and sourcing ISRC numbers and rights-holder details. My week spent within Love's London office also gave me the opportunity to shadow and speak with industry professionals as I was able to learn more about the process, challenges and work that goes into producing some of Love Productions biggest programmes. My time spent within the in-house development team further allowed me to build upon my experience as I attended and participated in pitch development and brainstorming sessions for a brief received from a major streaming platform. In addition, I was able to further develop my creative thinking and content development skills by formulating a professional pitch deck using Canva.

During my one-week placement at Hat Trick Productions Camden office, I was able to learn and gain invaluable insights spanning across several different departments. Throughout the week I spent time shadowing and working alongside the HTM (Hat Trick Mercurio Scripted), Finance and Scripted Comedy departments respectively. In addition to my time within Hat Trick's Camden Office, I was also able to shadow and support runners and junior researchers during the filming of series 68 of Have I Got News For You. During my time within HTM (Hat Trick Mercurio Scripted), I was able to learn more about the intricate process of Television development, from initial concept to scriptwriting, casting, production, and final distribution. My time included reading television scripts being considered for production and writing detailed coverage reports. My knowledge and understanding only developed further during my time interning and shadowing Hat Trick's Scripted Comedy department, as I read scripts and treatments currently in production, providing feedback on potential development and casting ideas. Additionally, my time spent within Hat Trick's production office gave me the opportunity to discuss and ask questions to development producers and coordinators about the work that goes towards developing and producing shows. I also assisted the finance department when it came to checking receipts and later categorising, organising and inputting operating expenses onto excel. This allowed me to develop my understanding and knowledge of how a television finance department operates when it comes to managing the financial and legal aspects of the industry.

Across my two-week placement at Drummer Television, I was able to not only shadow but also work closely alongside development & series producers as I expanded upon my experience and knowledge of working within a television production company. This included helping development & series producers in sourcing resources for a show in current pre-production as well as conducting research and identifying potential shooting locations. These tasks in particular demanded that I conduct extensive research. The show in question was a home-based renovation show, therefore making it vital that my own research aligned with not only the producers demands but also the designers overall ambitions and visions as a whole. In regards to researching locations, I was tasked with finding suitable shooting locations for which could be used as GV's for the same, home-based renovation show. In addition to researching appropriate locations that suited both the format and narrative of the show and accurately gave audiences a sense of the location of the programme. I also had to find locations that didn't have any potential shooting restrictions and for which would allow Drummer to easily attain permits for. This resulted and meant I had to expand the scope of my research, ensuring that the locations I proposed in question weren't either regarded or within conservational areas. I also assisted the production secretary & office runner when it came to undertaking any additional duties that needed fulfilling. Across my time at Drummer this included and varied from simply running office errands and preparing materials for upcoming shoots. In addition I also was able to assist the production secretary in more research orientated tasks as I researched and coordinated catering options for a television crew for an upcoming shoot. Similar to the other research tasks I undertook at Drummer, I also had to ensure and align my research with the crews specific dietary and logistical requirements.

Additionally I also worked closely with producers and secretary when undertaking any additional jobs around the office.

During my second year of studies at the UEA I chose to undertake a placement module and was fortunate enough to spend two weeks at the Eastern Daily Press / Norwich Evening News gaining experience into how Norfolk’s biggest regional newspaper operates. Across these two weeks I was able to experience how the newspaper best interacts, informs and engages with their readers, as I attended daily editorial meetings and shadowed journalists whilst covering stories. Additionally I was given the opportunity to cover and write first-hand, a collection of articles as well as shoot, edit and publish some promotional videos and stories for the paper as well. Intern Script Supervisor
Working on the production crew of Steven Fierberg's upcoming film The Spirit Lock, an Archy Rival UK Picture, I was able to intern as well as serve as Script Supervisor for a few days during the shoot. The experience on set was a deeply profound one as I was able to develop and broaden my understanding of how a film-set primarily functions. Throughout the shoot I was not only able to experience and navigate the challenges and pressures that naturally come with working on location but also take on additional roles and duties as the shoot continued. Serving as Intern Script Supervisor enabled me to expand my knowledge of working with scripts as I quickly learnt both the importance and process of script supervision.
