Undergraduate Degree Film and Media Practice
My studies at Birkbeck, University of London, provide a robust academic and practical foundation in media analysis, narrative structure, and professional communication. The curriculum focuses on developing critical thinking skills and practical content creation capabilities, enhancing my professional profile in several key areas. Focused coursework on media theory and narrative structure has sharpened my ability to analyse cultural context and communicate complex ideas clearly and effectively. Key modules cover Filmmaking Practice and Screenwriting, directly supporting my proficiency in end-to-end project management, resource allocation, and logistical execution (as seen in my independent film projects). I actively engage in user advocacy by serving as an Academic Representative for my cohort. Furthermore, as Founder and President of the Short Filmmaking Society, I demonstrate entrepreneurial leadership by managing all community organisation, resource acquisition, and event delivery for the group, enhancing my skills in stakeholder negotiation and community leadership.
