About

Chad (a proud south-east Londoner) is a Prime Time Emmy nominated and award-winning sound designer who has worked on a string of high-end productions, including Venture Land’s The Deepest Breath and Wes Anderson’s most recent Netflix production The Swan. Having eight years’ experience behind him, specialising in post-production sound at Molinare, Chad worked his way up from being an assistant re-recording mixer, to now freelancing as a sound effects editor/designer. Past projects include Misan Harriman’s Oscar nominated There After; BAFTA award winning The Tindler Swindler and the acclaimed Netflix docuseries Don’t F*** With Cats.

He was the winner of the Best Sound Design Award at the Music + Sound Awards UK for the documentary feature film Serendipity in 2019 and simultaneously won the Royal Television Society Award for Sound – Entertainment and Non-Drama with Channel 4’s Married to a Paedophile. In recent years, Chad has made the move into narrative drama and scripted film, working with many talents such as Daisy-May Hudson and Paris Zarcilla’s debuting feature films Lollipop and Raging Grace; Steve McQueen's latest feature film Blitz and Mercury Prize winning artist Sampha’s LAHAI.

Combining his love and enthusiasm for sound post production with his vivid imagination of story-telling is an integral part to his creative process, all of which rooting from his Nigerian-Grenadian heritage.

Chad is currently a HETV Leader of Tomorrow. Participants in the three-year inclusion programme for mid-level professionals are nominated by senior colleagues in high-end TV. His nominator Doug Sinclair said: “Chad is an experienced sound editor across many different genres. He is diligent and has a brilliant creative approach to every project. After freelancing for a number of years, this is the perfect time for Chad to embark on the Leaders of Tomorrow programme, where his existing skills can be further enhanced and developed working alongside seasoned professionals who can guide and advise Chad into becoming a leader in his own right.”
