Freelance Development Producer & Script Consultant

I've worked for many established film and television companies including United British Artists, Wall to Wall Media and Open Media as a development executive, as well as a researcher for an Oscar-winning film producer, and as a script assessor for the Orange Pathe Screenwriting Prize. I've been active in packaging projects; attaching the talent, working on script development, and putting the finance in place. I was the first development producer to work on "The Favourite" with screenwriter/producer Deborah Davis, and to option it.

For a few years I had to step out of the industry and focus on being a carer for members of my family. During this time, I financed my caring responsibilities by working as a freelance writer and editor for small but feisty independent publisher, Seven Arches Publishing, and as a ghostwriter of fiction and memoir, mainly for a successful international author with strong links to the Middle East, published by Bloomsbury.

Now and in the future, I'm aiming to continue writing, whilst developing and packaging film and television projects; both those that I initiate myself, or within a company environment. I would also love to work for companies as a reader and consultant, identifying novels and scripts that would make the most exciting, timely, and innovative film and television dramas. I aim to specialise in seeking out those books and projects with the strongest IP, including those where the copyright has lapsed, and equally, to help put emerging writers with unique, diverse voices, in the spotlight.
