I have been working as filmmaker for over 20 years and have produced/line produced four feature films, one of which was submitted as foreign language film for Academy Awards in 2013. I have worked with leading global broadcasters including BBC for 11 years and contributed to mainstream European channels such as ARTE, ZDF and others. I started freelancing as a director/producer in 2010 after leaving the BBC which took me outside of the UK.

I moved back to the UK a few years ago after working abroad for some years. Since most of my work has been based overseas during the last few years, I am trying to get back into the local industry here in the UK.

I started transitioning to animation over the past few years while working abroad. I fully understand and have working knowledge of the work flow design, post production and most other aspects of animation production. I have also recently completed my training in 2D animation from an industry certified centre. I have excellent knowledge of Toon Boom Harmony, Photoshop, Premiere and Final Cut Pro among other production related softwares.

Given my extensive, diverse and rich experience as a filmmaker, such a skill will not only substantially help me make a transition in my career, it will also enable me to contribute to a sector the UK industry which is facing skill shortage. Ian quite excited about transitioning to animation and hope that I would be able to contribute to UK industry and make the transition in my career.
