Chloe Nezianya on ScreenSkills’ Film Trainee Finder programme

After studying fashion design at university, Chloe Nezianya found it difficult to find a job in the industry. That’s when she heard about the ScreenSkills Trainee Finder programme. She had always liked the idea of working in the costume department in film but had no knowledge about how to get in, so when she saw an opportunity to join Trainee Finder as a costume trainee, she wasted no time in applying.

She found the programme provided her with more knowledge than she expected, “ScreenSkills helped me to find opportunities that I wouldn’t have found elsewhere – I have also learnt life skills through the programme such as finance and confidence; and practical skills such as how to do call sheets.”

Chloe explained how the programme has brought about a busy new career, “Trainee Finder has been amazing – it’s great to be with likeminded people. I’ve had two jobs through ScreenSkills so far – my first was on Grantchester and I’m now working on the new Matilda film, which has been a lot of work but really rewarding and super exciting! I’m really proud to be a part of it. If you want to work in film and TV, it’s a great place to start!”
