CBMA Academy’s 4-week SFX Makeup and Prosthetics course offers practical, hands-on training for anyone looking to develop specialist skills for film, television, theatre, and creative media.
Designed by renowned prosthetics makeup artist Kristyan Mallett and led by Oscar and BAFTA-winning makeup designer Christine Blundell, this course introduces students to key SFX techniques used in professional productions.
Students will learn life casting, sculpting, moulding, casualty makeup, character makeup, prosthetic application, and realistic blood effects. The course also covers wounds, bruises, burns, scars, silicone work, body paint, and the use of industry-standard materials such as Pros-Aide.
