The Pipeline will be delivering a new regional training programme for production management assistants (PMA's) and production coordinators in the high-end TV sector. The step-up to production management programme is targeted at participants from the Nations and Regions to support career development within the production management sector. 

Following the training, 18 participants will be offered a paid placement with a high-end TV production company. 

The regional high-end TV step-up to production management programme is supported by the ScreenSkills High-end TV Skills Fund with contributions from UK high-end TV productions

Who it's for

20 places will be offered on this competitive programme aimed at those working in high-end TV as PMA’s or production coordinators, who are ready to step up into the role of production manager.

The 10-day online training course will run Monday to Friday  from 22 November to 3 December 2021. These dates are fixed so please only apply if you are able to commit to the full 10 days training.

What it covers

This is a demanding and rigorous programme, enabling participants to further develop skills in aptitude, resilience and responsibility. The content of the 2-week online delivery focuses on key areas of the High-end TV production PM role:

  • legal
  • management
  • finance
  • creativity
  • logistics.

The programme will be delivered online by industry practitioners alongside expert trainers from The Pipeline (University of Salford).

Following the training, 12 participants will be offered a paid placement with a high-end TV production company. These will run from January 2022 and last for ten weeks. You will need to be able to commit to the full ten weeks if you are successful in being offered one of the placements.
