This training programme of accessible and practical workshops is aimed at all heads of department and producers/line producers in high-end TV and film to help build resilience on a personal and team level across departments, to support better working practices and healthier workplaces.

The workshops will combine real-life examples of issues and give practical tips, tools and techniques to build skills towards resilience and success. Recognising and acknowledging the pressures of the screen industry, course attendees will come away with renewed self-belief and an appreciation of why self-care and caring for your team are crucial to achieving goals on production.

Who it's for

This training programme of accessible and practical workshops is aimed at all heads of department and producers/line producers in high-end TV and film to help build resilience on a personal and team level across departments, to support better working practices and healthier workplaces.

The training providers are willing to be flexible around schedules and timings for the delivery of the training. 

Sessions will be 20 people max.

Please note all this training is delivered online.

What it covers

Two one-hour sessions:

1: How to look after yourself

2: Ensuring good work-life balance

2-hour break in between

Two one-hour sessions:

1: How to manage expectations from your team

2: Encouraging good working practice in your team

Each block will have a 10-minute break.

How to apply

There will be numerous opportunities to attend this course and dates will be made available from June through to December.

August 29th and 30th 2023 (18:00 - 20:00 both evenings - 4 hours in total)

September 8th 10:00 - 12:00 and 14:00 to 16:00 (2 x 2 hours, 4 hours total)
 
September 27th 10:00 - 12:00 and 14:00 - 16:00 (2 x 2 hours, 4 hours total)

The training is broken into two parts with a two-hour break in between.

Both trainers work professionally with productions, broadcasters and other creative organisations to advise on best practices with regard to fair access. Both trainers are regionally based and additionally, are diverse themselves, well-networked within production and industry groups to make meaningful change.
