The Pipeline is delighted to be working with ScreenSkills on a fantastic new training programme for edit assistants and technical operators. The Unscripted Edit Assistants and Technical Operators Programme is targeted at participants from the nations and regions, to support career development.

Initial Training Dates 7th March – 11th March 2022 – 5-days Monday to Friday

Training continues with two additional weekends in March followed by a one month long placement (May- June) and further two weekends in July.

Application deadline Sunday 20th Feburary at 5pm. This is one of the fastest growing areas of the post production pipeline and we expect a hig volume of applications. Please note if you meet the criteria you will be offered a place on a first come first served basis, so please dont wait until the deadline to apply or you may find all the places have been taken.

This programme is supported by the ScreenSkills Unscripted TV Skills Fund which invests in training for the unscripted workforce thanks to contributions from broadcasters, SVoDs and production companies.

Who it's for

This is a highly competitive programme with 42 places available for those currently working in post production looking to step up, new entrants with an interest in pursuing a career in post production and others with transferable skills and/ or experience in this sector.

Our application process is now open for candidates. We welcome and encourage applications from people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds; participants with a disability; Black, Asian and Minority Ethic (BAME) applicants and LGBTQ+ and non-binary candidates.

This programme is particularly aimed at individuals in the following regions, Glasgow, Belfast, Cardiff, Manchester & Leeds, Bristol, East & West Midlands, South East (outside of London).

What it covers

The programme offers participants industry-led online training into the complex and fast moving post production pipeline through the lens of the two roles. The training is delivered by working post production professionals and will build technical, creative, professional and personal skills.

Participants will gain time within a UK-based Post facility for first-hand experience to build confidence to gain employment within this complex technical sector.
