This intensive week introduces students to the fundamental skills required to work with wigs.
The course will take students through blocking, setting, dressing, cleaning and washing wigs. Working with real hair and lace front wigs, students will cover a variety of setting techniques required to style historical hairstyles such as, Early Victorian, 1920s, 1930s, and 1940s hair styles. Students will wet set the wigs and dress them out in the appropriate fashion of the era. Hair wrapping and wig application is also covered.
Make-up artists wanting to work in period dramas or theatre. Basic hair skills are required to enrol on this course
