One-to-one career advice for film & HETV freelancers
Do you need advice and guidance on your next career steps? Are you unsure who to contact and how? Is your CV being sent to the right people?
Our virtual one-to-one career sessions are a great way of getting invaluable, bespoke, advice and guidance on how to reach the right people. Use your time now to book a virtual session and feel motivated and prepared for your next steps in the industry. These sessions are for anyone wanting guidance within feature film & HETV drama in craft and technical and production.
These free sessions are supported by ScreenSkills using National Lottery funds awarded by the BFI as part of the Future Film Skills programme.
Talking Point producer Helen Johnson will focus on specific advice, contacts and information on your next career steps. Each session will cover the following areas:
- The role and department you are keen to work in
- Your current skills and experience
- Where the gaps are and how to fill them
- How to raise the profile and promote your successes
- A CV check to ensure it is ‘film industry’ relevant
- Identify who you need to contact, how and when
- How to keep a working database to network efficiently
Who it's for
These individual virtual sessions are targeted at freelancers and are extremely limited. They are for anyone wanting guidance within feature film & HETV drama in craft and technical and production.
**Please note, we are not taking applications from scriptwriters and directors in this round.**
Successful applicants will be contacted and their indvidual sessions will be allocated to take place on or after Wednesday 27 May.
A further period of application will be announced at a later date.
