1 day

This one day workshop will introduce the skills you need to successfully negotiate, whether you want to secure a rate rise for your freelance work, a better production credit, or a better delivery schedule from a supplier.

Using a mix of discussion and exercises we’ll cover the principles of negotiation, and try out some practical tools that you apply to any situation.

Linda Cockburn is a facilitator, trainer and coach with a media background. During her time at the BBC she moved from research into new media, then to the BBC Academy, working with teams across tv, radio and digital to support the development of new ideas. As a consultant, she has worked with leaders and teams from Hit TV and Film London to DCMS and Welsh National Opera, offering them clear processes to generate better ways of working. Over the last two years she has trained radio producers to pitch for new work, and helped secure more than £1million worth of commissions.
