Art department portfolio sessions

Course type

Short Course

Duration

0.5 days

This is the ideal time to be working on portfolios!

We are often asked how film art department assistants should present their work effectively. So, during this down time, we will be working with established supervising art directors and set decorators to run Talking Point  Portfolio Sessions. These free sessions are supported by ScreenSkills using National Lottery funds awarded by the BFI as part of the Future Film Skills programme.

Course content

These virtual sessions will cover the following:

  • an honest appraisal of your portfolio from practicing art department professionals
  • constructive advice on how best to present your work
  • what to include and what to remove
  • how to make general improvements

This will ensure that your portfolio offers you the best chance of success.

Who it's for

This session is for freelancers working in - or aspiring to work in - the art department in film.

Further sessions will follow at a later date.

Course free due to ScreenSkills funding

This training addresses an industry skills shortage and is subsidised by ScreenSkills as an investment in the professional development of people working in the UK screen industries.
