My career path became apparent when someone looked at my phone screen picture and said, “That’s a nice picture, you should be a photographer” – I took their compliment quite literally and became a photographer and then filmmaker. I began as a freelancer, doing small jobs for people and small companies. I focused on building on my skills at filming, editing and on equipment.
After 5 years of freelancing and working 2 part time jobs, a little man on my shoulder said “Quit all your jobs, start a company, invest all your time, heart and money”. Turns out he was right, turns out he was an Angel!
Today I am still me and I still work in the same manner, but just on larger projects which allow collaboration. Although, my favourite thing is to be in a park with my camera, flimsy tripod and a passionate individual who has a vision that I can materialize.
