About
Charlie Watts is a principal lecturer at the University of Portsmouth for the school of film, media and communication. Charlie is a Professional Avid Certified Instructor and the school academic lead on industry partnerships. He currently teaches on ScreenSkills Accredited courses - BSc Television and Broadcasting and BA Film Production at the University of Portsmouth.
Charlie spent many years as a freelance Avid editor and has extensive experience in post-production, encoding, mastering, television production and broadcast. BSc Television and Broadcasting is a vocational undergraduate course that operates a real TV channel within the curriculum, and this provides a perfect platform to enable and empower students to deliver weekly live TV.
