I am an actor/playwright/screenwriter and documentary film director.  I am a recipient of six Arts Council of England Research and Development awards.  My play Annanwon's Song which looks at the life of a Native American Afghanistan military veteran was shortlisted by the Sundance Theatre lab.   My site specific play Circles - Michael's Story made its New York debut at the Emerging Artists Theatre- New Works Festival.  My short play Love Bites made its US premier at New York's Dream Up festival.  My blues musical A Night of the Blues appeared at London's  westend Iris Theatre has part of their Workin Progress musical theatre series. My play Awa's Journey which looks at the refugee crisis appeared at the Shonibare Studios as a guest project.   I am the 2017 recipient of the Roland Rees Award bursary.    My documentary on the work of the acclaimed Arcola Theatre called I am Going to Make a Miracle, is a recipient of three international awards including Dadasaheb Phalke Special Mention Jury award. The film has subsequently been screened at film festivals around the world and was bought by Sky Arts with the education rights sold to Alexander Press, one of the largest educational distributors in the world.  

I am currenly working to develop two documentary projects one which looks at the largest transgender festival in the world in India and the other looks at the history of Blues music.
