Hello!! Call me Liv :) I'm from a small town on the edge of Dartmoor in Devon, studying in Hamsphire, and spend a lot of time in London!
I have just completed my second year as a Journalism student on the BJTC accredited course at Winchester University.
As a News Correspondent for WINOL (Winchester News Online), I pitch and produce weekly news stories in video format, from youth unemployment stats to political policies and transport issues. I pitch, research, script, film, source/conduct interviews, and edit my work in the newsroom ready for our Live at Five bulletin every Wednesday. I too have had experience of being News Editor for WINOL's 04.02.15 bulletin filmed entirely on smartphones, and also have a passion for feature writing. My previous role on WINOL was website co-editor and sub-editor, where I applied my knowledge of media law and grammar and developed my web design and navigation skills.
I have recently spent four weeks working for The One Show at the BBC. During my time here, I sourced, bought and made props for the show - the most challenging (and obscure) of which was a gigantic wheat field for a feature on scything! I also had the opportunity to shadow the gallery during broadcast.
A little more about me...
