Theatre & Film Director

  • Location: London
  • Career stage: Experienced
  • Freelancer: Available

I am a theatre and film director based in the UK.

*Artistic Director of Teatro Vivo, a theatre company specialising in site specific and immersive work.
"Almost anywhere is a possible stage for this most creative of theatre groups. The challenge they set themselves is to break free of tradition, reinterpret the classics and collaborate with their audience.
Absolutely not the West End."
The Guardian

*Director at SHH Productions, a female led film production company

*Creative Associate at Dash Arts, an international arts organisation.

*On the board for Rewrite a charity which brings together young people to breakdown prejusice and tackle injustice through drama and creative writing.

* A freelance director and dramaturg working across the subsidised and commerical sectors.
I'm a storyteller who likes to work across a range of mediums and with an extraordinary bunch of collaborators to make the most interesting stories for diverse audiences.

Career Highlights include:

Charles Dickens’ famous story was given a contemporary twist as the audience went on an immersive, interactive manhunt down the streets and alleyways of Shoreditch. The play explored contemporary migration, arrival and survival in London.
“Twistov is an immensely powerful and important play. The message of humanity and unity, presented as it was in such a magical way, remains with you long after the show.” Savage Journal

* Greenham Common: 100 Years of War and Peace
This was a large scale outdoor event celebrating 20 years of the Greenham Trust. The story of Greenham Common came alive through an amazing spectacle of performance, songs, light projections and live art. The Event was filmed for online broadcast and was covered by radio and TV. It portrayed one hundred years of history of the Common and the dramatic moments of war and peace that form part of its history.
"To say it was outstanding would be an understatement. This was a grand spectacular, the like of which has never been seen in our small town." Sir Peter Michael CBE

My first Short Film won the Prix De Jury at Festival Cinéma & Migrations Agadir in November 2016

I'm always looking for new challenges and to work with new collaborators. Get in touch if want to discuss any ideas.
