I was born in Edinburgh, grew up in the Kingdom of Fife, and returned to Edinburgh where I now live.
An avid reader in my youth, my writing was put on hold as I pursued a career working for the University of Edinburgh where my alter ego travels the world as Director of the Software Sustainability Institute. The passion to write never completely faded, and after having received inspiration from locally based writers Raymond Ross, Gavin Inglis and Zinnie Harris, I took up my (virtual) pen again.
Two scenes from my play Lifelike were presented as a professional rehearsed reading at the Traverse Theatre, Edinburgh in February 2014. My playlet Eve of War was performed at Discover21 Theatre, Edinburgh in May 2014 as part of Collider. My other writing focuses on poetry and flash fiction.
I am currently working on a couple of plays exploring the human psyche as it is expressed on public transport.
