I am a maker and writer on cinema and other performing arts. My short documentaries focus on space, memory and identity and have included Irene Runge: My Way (2002) Leaving the Table (2007) and L'Esprit de l'Escalier (2010) all of which enjoyed exposure at several international film festivals. My most recent production is a narrative experiment in animation and live action with a non-fiction “tone”, Dream Life of Debris (2014). My one play, Isle of Joy, a musical, was produced by the Operating Theatre Company in 2007.
From 2012 to 2014 I produced films and TV shows for the Rainbow Jews oral history project, funded by the UK National Lottery Heritage fund. Currently I am filming a UK based Arts and Humanities Research Council film project examining religious ritual in the same LGBT community, called Ritual Reconstructed.
