I am a writer (playwright, screenwriter) and songwriter (across various genres) with experience as a theatre producer and a catalogue of lyrical poems.
My writing credits include; Heartbeat (musical theatre 2004), Desperate Housewives Africa Adaptation ELTV (series 2014), Over The Bridge (film in development 2013), Oops...TARIERETV (series 2015), The Wedding Party ELFIKE (feature film 2016, TIFF Selection/City to City), Songs from the Heartbeat Musical Songbook (music and lyrics).
My producing credits include: Renaissance, (a showcase of multi-disciplinary arts – 2001), Job’s Wife (Dec 2007), Music and Lyrics (a showcase of music and the spoken word - Mar 2008), Heartbeat (Dec 2009, Dec 2011), New World Nigeria showcase at Theatre Royal Stratford East as part of the London 2012 festival during the Olympics, (Jul – Aug 2012), British Council Lagos Theatre Festival (2014), Digging For Gold - Corporate Entertainment (November 2014) with Lufodo Productions, Heartbeat The Musical with Lufodo Productions, 2015 - present.
My performing credits include: ‘Azue’ in Ahmed Yerima’s play ‘Little Drops’ produced by Today’s Woman Magazine and Lufodo Productions for the Rivers State Government and ‘Nali’ in Job’s Wife (Garden Theatre Productions). I completed a one-semester classical acting course at L.A.M.D.A. and perform poems from my collection for various corporate, arts and social events.
Related roles; Stage One Workshop for New Producers Alumni (2015), London. A judge on the programme FIRSTARS, a Nigerian reality show and competition designed to discover and develop producers, directors, scriptwriters, art directors and actors (2016), ELTV. A screenwriting course facilitator on the Imagery Programme hosted by Fate Foundation (2017) Lagos, Nigeria.
A Manchester University graduate with a first class degree in Chemistry with Patent Law and work experience in various sectors including legal (Lovells, London), consultancy (Accenture, Lagos), a managerial role in a theatre-skills in business company (Interact, London) and managing director/ producer role at Lufodo Productions (Lagos Nigeria).
