About
Radio Producer: I have ten years of experience in the commercial radio industry, writing scripts and producing audio for some of the UK's biggest networks and household names. I’ve had to balance busy workloads in a fast environment and consolidate client and brand needs whilst heading up and coaching a team of talented producers.
In January 2015 I took a step back from my radio career and went part-time to pursue creative projects. There are a few of them, but I'm pretty practised at managing my time, so here's an outline:
As a writer, I have written two novels and have two more fictions well underway. I'm also currently developing a radio sitcom I've written. I'm an NCTJ-trained journalist; a diploma which I studied at home around a busy full-time job. I've had experience writing for The South London Press and Mercury newspapers. I also blog regularly, and have developed my own voice after years of practise writing for school publications, launching my own writing publications and blogging under pseudonyms!
Naturally, my love of radio and human stories has led me to documentary-making, which I am currently pursuing. I'm building a body of work which I am currently pitching to networks.
I'm the founder of Podcast Adventures, a podcast network curating and distributing titles such as "Ed and Friends" and "Sketch Please!", the monthly comedy sketch podcast. I also produced and edited the Giggle Loop Podcast. This twenty-part series was a bi-weekly dose of fun from the London-based improv comedy group and is available on iTunes.
I'm also the founder and director of Runviewer.co.uk. A love of running and the outdoors led me to create an online community where fellow runners, walkers and cyclists can share their pictures and tips for great places to explore. I regularly film routes and write content for the website. I'm currently designing and developing the app to unite this content with social media sharing.
Finally, I'm a keen baker and a rather out of practise drawer and painter, hobbies I enjoy when I'm not running, writing or fiddling about on Pro Tools.
