About
Astrid is a highly creative costume designer with extensive experience in film, TV and media productions as well as the fashion industry. Originally from Germany, where she was running a fashion business in Berlin, Astrid has been living in the UK since 1994. After her inspiring costume studies at 'Wimbledon School of Art' she has been working on feature films, TV productions, music videos and corporates as well as shorts, pilots and stills photography.
In 2003 Astrid decided to study photography at 'London College of Communication', which enabled her to initiate creative ideas and art directions on a broader scale. The centre of her work is based on storytelling & transformation and her interest is the life of others, in documentary as well as in fiction. Both of Astrid's careers feed each other perfectly. She has won numerous awards and worked and exhibited internationally.
