About
As a Filmmaker, I’ve worked closely between the British and Indian Film Industries. I am currently completing the post-production stage for my debut British feature named ‘Footprints On Water’, this film looks into the lives of illegal immigrants in the UK. Being a Film Graduate from The University of Reading, I have over 7 years of experience in the industry, having worked as an AD in Pinewood Studios and various other projects in the U.K. I have had my British Short-films screened at various prestigious International Festivals. Lehenga, my most recent commission work for Channel 4 Ignition Random Acts, produced by Resource Productions, has screened at numerous prestigious festivals and has been nominated for the BAFTA qualifying Iris Prize Award in the UK. Currently Lehenga is on the top five viewed Channel 4 Random acts shorts on Youtube. My short-film projects have previously been supported and funded by prominent producers and funding bodies in the UK such as Resource Productions, Fly Films, Screen South, Arts Council England and more. I also direct TV Commercials that have aired in various channels such as Sky, Channel 4, BBC and the Food Network. I have a special interest towards projects that portray distinct characters and themes where audiences can get an essence of reality within the inspiring and uplifting stories from those living amongst us.
