Sarah is a practitioner based in the North, with a particular interest in movement and physical theatre.
She trained in Writing, Directing & Performance at The University of York, and has since then directed bits and pieces around the city; including Bittersweet Century (TFTV), Womberang (Upstart Theatre), Centricity (Off The Rock Productions), and movement direction on The Maids (Hedgepig Theatre) & Henry V (YSP). Her assistant credits include Clocking In (Pilot Theatre), Helver’s Night (Company Of Angels), and Blood & Chocolate (Slung Low).
Having joined site-specific company Theatre Mill from their Young Directors Scheme, she has been an associate director on Agatha Christie’s Witness For The Prosecution, The Importance of Being Earnest, and Actor/ASM on The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde. She then became a full time Assistant Producer with Theatre Mill & RJS Productions, recently working on the return of the acclaimed Witness For The Prosecution at York Guildhall Council Chambers and Leeds Civic Hall.
Sarah has performed in and ran venues at the Edinburgh Festival and has been a workshop practitioner in residence with The Mount School and Nottingham Youth Theatre. She is an associate artist with A Company of Angels.
