Paperwork Theatre

Founded in 2014, Paperwork tell stories in site-sensitive spaces. We believe that stories are for everyone. By performing in non-conventional theatre spaces, we aim to attract new audiences. We hope that stumbling across one of our productions might inspire and delight you when you least expect it.

We are committed to collaborating with talented local & emerging artists to feed the Fringe scene across the North West. We aspire to provide valuable, paid experience to all our artists to enable them to fully invest in practicing & developing their craft while working with us. In turn, we hope to break down some of the barriers facing artists from diverse backgrounds residing in the North West.

We’ve been successful in our first year, creating three new productions including How May I Direct Your Call?; a City Centre trail for Liverpool LightNight 2015 and I Spy A Yeti!; a pop-up children’s Christmas production using live Foley and Makaton. In June 2015, Paperwork Theatre collaborated with local Theatre-Maker, Lydia Parsons to create a part-verbatim performance exploring heroin addiction, stage in a disused Warehouse.

Paperwork Theatre are currently Supported Artists at Bolton Octagon Theatre.
