Artistic Profile

Having recently graduated from a Masters in Dramaturgy and Playwriting, I had the opportunity to meet different playwrights such as Sylvia Dow and Douglas Maxwell, who particularly engaged with my work and supported me through the realisation of my previous play “BUGS”. Three scenes of this play have been performed at the Tron Theatre of Glasgow during the “Young playwrights: Beginning night” on the 12th of July 2013. Being inside the preparatory workshop with the actors and the director has been a thrilling experience and gave me a taste of the role of the playwright during the production process.
Having recently finished the Mentoring program proposed by the Playwright Studio based in Glasgow and having been thrilled by my writing and human experience under the guiding eye of Clare Duffy, I really would like to join this program and get the chance to develop this ambitious project.
The recurrent thematic crossing my plays is the one of the bisexuality, as a bisexual I want to reflect on the difficulties and the pain this sexuality can contain as defying the traditional binary masculine/feminine. My characters evolve in a space between the masculine and feminine, both their bodies and their voices appear as a gender transgression.
