Experience
-
Camera Operator / Team Assistant
Under Frames Up, I have worked on a freelance basis with the team to assist shoots. From setting up the camera and lighting to operating camera with a variety of well known brands in various locations.
-
Digital Producer
Under Shine TV, I produced and shot the digital and social media assets for a yet to be released show for a major US broadcaster. Working on a busy set on location, with room for my own creativity, I worked closely with the executives and talent - operating around the busy production schedule to capture and create the companies desired social media content. This content ranged from shooting interviews, behind the scenes, games and quizzes for the cast and PSAs.
-
Creative Director / Partner
In 2019, during a self-employed placement year, some university peers and myself setup, and became partners in a video production company, Gone South Media. During this time, I produced short form content ranging from promotional corporate videos, to music promos, being involved in all aspects of production. I learnt a great deal, being in the 'real world' outside of the University - pitching digital assets to clients, and then creating the promised deliverable.
-
Work Experience
A week long placement, shadowing the runners and experiencing first hand what it's like to be in a post-production studio and dealing with clients. I was fortunate enough to experience an ADR recording session for 'Downton Abbey' and learned all about what’s involved with such an important part of post-production.
-
Sales Assistant
Being a partner at Waitrose taught me the invaluable skills and experience of dealing with the public and showed me exactly what great customer service looks like by forming relationships with the customers and doing everything in my power to meet their needs. I would handle cash behind the tills, replenish stock and often supervise the line of checkouts.
-
Work Experience Trainee
Working alongside the runners, I would run a wide range of errands from making tea and sorting post, to delivering and collecting packages at post production houses such as Molinare, and De Lane Lea. Having had three work experience placements at the London offices, it has given me an invaluable understanding and knowledge of what goes on and how a production office is ran. What each role involves and how a production starts from the development stages right into completion.
-
Work Experience Trainee
I had a week long placement shadowing the Runners. Having witnessed all departments such as the production stages to the production offices and theatres, I understand what is fully involved with working within a busy film and television studio.
-
Trainee
I helped out in the theatre with the Sound Mixers and Director; Jason Connery, for the film 'Tommy's Honour'. I learnt what it is like to do a final sound mix of a film in a prestigious post production house.
