I have just graduated York St. John’s University after studying Film & TV Production as a (BA Hons) course.
My main area of interest is Documentary Filmmaking, specifically in the observational style of cinema vérité and inspired by the work of documentarist, Kim Longinotto.
I first became interested in Documentary filmmaking in 2014 where I worked as an assistant cameraman at London City Docs Festival. Since then I spend my time actively engaging myself with documentary productions and festivals. I am currently directing a poetic visual film called Keep On, Carry On. This cinematic doc involves Asta Philpot (BBC, 2007, For One Night Only) as the main contributor.
I'm also interested in Commercial/ Music videos. After leaving Cirencester College, (Cirencester, Gloucestershire) I founded and produced a film production business for a year called Filmcalling. Although most of the evidence for this is now terminated, I had gained a lot of experience through the business by working closely with clients, using a web series as an digital outlet, crowdfunding and an insight to independant filmmaking. However, I decided to put this all on stand-by and took my education up north.
I am experienced and confident as a cinematographer, editing, directing and producing in both documentary and fictional productions.
