About
I'm Nimer. I'm a writer/director from London.
My career in drama started as a child actor working in theatre, film and TV. I’ve also written for stage and screen, winning the Sir Peter Ustinov Television Scriptwriting Award at the International Emmy Awards.
After winning the UK’s biggest short film competition, the Virgin Media Shorts Grand Prize (awarded by Shane Meadows and judged by David Tennant) I’ve directed TV shows such as EastEnders, Casualty and Holby City for the BBC (which landed me on the BBC’s New Talent Hotlist), as well as Hollyoaks for Channel 4. I’ve also worked as 2nd Unit Director on shows like Press (BBC), The Capture (BBC/NBC), and The Feed (Amazon/Studio Lambert), and have also worked as a voice director for several video games.
I’m currently in Sri Lanka directing The Good Karma Hospital for Tiger Aspect/ITV.
